Senior character actor Yusuf Hussain passed away today (30th October) in Bombay due to COVID-19. He was undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital where he breathed his last this morning.
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who is married to Yusuf Hussain’s daughter, posted on Instagram about the sad demise and recalled that his father-in-law had helped him complete Shahid when he was troubled and his non-existent career as a filmmaker was almost finished completely. He described Yusuf Hussain as being a father figure to him.
Among the films Yusuf Hussain had acted in are Dhoom 2, Raees, Dil Chahta Hai and Kuch Naa Kaho.
