ADARSH GOURAV NOMINATED FOR BEST ACTOR BAFTA | 11 March, 2021

Indian actor Adarsh Gourav has been nominated for the best leading actor BAFTA for his performance in Netflix film The White Tiger. The British Academy announced the nominations on 9th March. The film marks the first lead role for Gourav who was seen in My Name Is Khan. The White Tiger, an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s Booker prize-winning novel of the same name, is directed by Ramin Bahrani who has been nominated in the adapted screenplay category.

US recession drama Nomadland and Rocks were nominated in seven categories each. The Father, Mank, Promising Young Woman and Korean-language Minari were nominated in six categories each.
