ADITYA CHOWKSEY PANEL SWEEPS CINE CLUB OF INDORE POLLS | 28 March, 2022

Aditya Chowksey’s panel swept the elections of the Cine Club of Indore on March 27. All eleven members of Chowksey’s panel were declared elected. The other panel — Jagruti panel — fielded 10 candidates, all of whom lost. After that, Chowksey was unanimously elected president at the first meeting of the newly-elected committee. Premdev was elected vice president, Ashok Choudhary, secretary, and Kishore Bhuradiya, hon. treasurer. Ashok Jain was elected joint secretary.

Elections to the Club were held yesterday after five years. The Club has been in the midst of controversies since a long time. The SDM had even sealed the premises of the Club. After that, the Firms of Society conducted an investigation, and the Indore high court granted permission following which elections were held.

A total of 114 distributors and cinema owners cast their votes out of a total of 129 members. One vote was declared invalid. The winners were: Aditya Chowksey (polled the highest number of votes — 92), Ashok Rao (91), Pragnesh Oza (91), Premdev (89), Manpreet Singh Hora (88), Ashok Choudhary (83), Ashok Jain (82), Chetan Pandey (76), Adarsh Yadav (72), Kishore Bhuradiya (68) and Rajesh Karosia (65).
