Amazon Prime Video hosted an elaborate press conference on 28th April at JW Marriott, Sahar, Bombay to announce its new slate of films and web series. The show was brilliantly hosted by Karan Johar and Aparna Purohit (head of originals at Amazon Prime Video). Jennifer Salke (head of Amazon Studios), Kelley Day (vice president, Pride Video International), James Farrell (vice president, local original film & TV, Amazon Studios) and Gaurav Gandhi (Prime Video director and country manager at Amazon India) were present.
Among the films announced were Ram Setu, Neeyat, Ae Watan Mere Watan, Maja Maa, The Village, Tiku Weds Sheru, Jubilee and Farzi. Some of the big shows introduced at the press meet were Hush Hush, new season of Breathe (Into The Shadows), Indian Police Force, Call Me Bae, India Love Project, reality documentary based on singer A.P. Dhillon, titled Dancing On The Grave, Cinema Marte Dum Tak, Dahaad, Bambai Meri Jaan, third season of Four More Shots Please, new season of Made In Heaven, Modern Love Mumbai, Modern Love Chennai, Modern Love Hyderabad, Suzhal, Vadhandi, Dhootha, P.I. Meena, Shehar Lakhot, Gulkanda, Happy Family Conditions Apply and four young adult shows — Jee Karda, Adhura, Crash Course and Sweet Karam Coffee. An announcement of partnerships with Yash Raj Films and Ajay Devgn Ffilms for exclusive streaming rights of several of their films was also made at the press meet.
