ANKUR MUKHERJEE SERIOUS, NEEDS FUNDS FOR TREATMENT | 18 April, 2021

Ankur Mukherjee, one of the finest guitarists of India, is critically ill and undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Bombay. He suffered a left middle cerebral artery ischemic stroke which was COVID-19 induced and is in the ICU in an induced coma since the night of 6th April. The amount required for his treatment is Rs. 70 lakh. Of this, his sister has so far managed to raise Rs. 32,86,430 from donations.

For those who may not be part of the music industry, Ankur is an accomplished music arranger, guitar sound designer and original composer. Among the numerous films for which he has worked on the music are Border (his first film when he was in his early twenties), Dev D, Eklavya, Omkara, Parineeta, Raajneeti, Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Lootera, Barfi!, Andhadhun, Rangoon, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Pink and Gulabo Sitabo.
