The caretaker of Ayesha Julka’s bungalow at Lonavala (near Bombay) was arrested on 25th September on the suspicion of killing one of her two pet dogs. The police said, based on statements of staff from neighbouring bungalows and items seized from Ayesha’s bungalow, they arrested Ram Andre (48). The autopsy confirmed that the dog died due to suffocation. Andre had on 13th September told Julka’s husband that the dog had died after drowning in the water tank on the bungalow premises.
