GSEAMS, Shashikant Pawar Productions and Shambhavi Films’ Bebhan (UA) is an action love story. It is actually a love triangle.
Dinesh Deshpande has written a dull story which hardly engages the viewers. Nitin Supekar’s screenplay is equally boring and devoid of any fire whatsoever. Dialogues are routine.
Thakur Anoop Singh is ordinary in his debut role in a Marathi film. Mrunmayee Deshpande does a fine job. Sanskruti Balgude acts ably. Smita Jayakar performs in a natural style. Sanjay Khapre makes his presence felt. Others are adequate.
Anup Ashok Jagdale’s direction is okay. But, like the script, the narration also fails to involve the viewers. Music (A.V. Prafullachandra, Santosh Mulekar and Amey Nare) is quite nice. Mangesh Kangane’s lyrics are okay. Song picturisations (Pankaj Chavan and Santosh Bangare) are of a fair standard. Amey Nare’s background music is so -so. Krishna Soren’s cinematography is alright. Hanifbhai’s action and stunt scenes afford a bit of thrill. Vasu Patil’s art direction is okay. Vijay Kochikar’s editing ought to have been sharper.
On the whole, Bebhan is a flop show all the way.
