‘BIGG BOSS 4’ TO START SHOOTING IN THIRD WEEK OF SEPTEMBER | 1 September, 2020

The fourteenth season of Bigg Boss will start in the third week of this month on Colors. The set at Film City is almost ready, the contestants have been finalised, and the stage is set for shooting to commence. Rumours that the channel is in two minds because Salman’s name has figured in the social media trolls during the controversy surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death are nothing but a load of you-know-what. Stories that the social media trolls against Salman, who hosts the show, have prompted the channel to develop cold feet and replace him as the show host are nothing but a figment of someone’s very poor imagination.

The fact of the matter is that shooting of Bigg Boss 14 will start only after the contestants and the crew members will be quarantined, in keeping with the SOPs finalised by the government for shooting. Since there are 15 contestants, the crew for the reality show is also reasonably large. Hence the need to be extra-cautious. The channel is not taking any chances so that the shooting goes on smoothly once production commences.

There are also rumours that Salman is being paid Rs. 250 crore as fees for what will be his eleventh series of the popular show. That’s not true, revealed an insider. Paying the host Rs. 250 crore will not make commercial sense. The figure is lower but even then, it is an extraordinary amount that the superstar is charging and the channel is happily paying.
