Cameraman Gururaj Jois passed away this morning (27th November) following a heart attack he suffered in Bangalore. He was 53 and is survived by his wife and one child.
Gururaj had cinematographed most of the films made by Apoorva Lakhia, besides several others. Gururaj and Apoorva met on the sets of Lagaan when Gururaj used to be the assistant of cinematographer Anil Mehta while Apoorva assisted director Ashutosh Gowariker. Among the films he had shot were Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Shootout At Lokhandwala, Mission Istanbul, Ek Ajnabee, Zanjeer and Gali Gali Chor Hai.
