CINEMAS NOT ALLOWED TO REOPEN IN RAJASTHAN | 26 June, 2021

Even as the state of Rajasthan prepares to start the unlocking process, the state government has made it clear that cinemas and multiplexes will have to remain shut for some more time. While restaurants and hotels have been allowed to reopen at 50% capacity, the same facility has not been extended to single-screen cinemas and multiplexes.

Meanwhile, there is a move to ask cinemas and multiplexes in those parts of Maharashtra, where they were permitted to reopen, to shut down again in view of reported cases of the Delta plus variant of the Coronavirus in some parts of the state.
