After remaining mum for almost two months, the Cine & Television Artistes Association (CINTAA) and the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) came out against the bad press which Bollywood has been getting from the electronic media and some industry insiders after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on 14th June. However, the comments of both the associations were absolutely tame as compared to the blot on the film industry’s reputation. It almost appeared that CINTAA was only trying to prove the point that it had taken a stand. As for the IMPPA, president T.P. Aggarwal’s interview could confuse the reader about whether he was condemning the industry insiders for speaking lies about the industry or taking sides with them!
