Bollywood casting director and finess trainer Munawwar Ali Sayyed filed an application for contempt of court against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly violating her assurance against posting on social media any new message about a case which she sought quashing of. Sayyed said that before going to the police station, she allegedly tweeted about the visit, showing “blatant disregard to the statement made before high court”.
Ali’s contempt petition says that on January 8, 2021, Kangana allegedly “interfered with administration of justice and judicial process by publishing a contemptouous tweet and video on her Twitter account”. Despite the court order, she published the tweet and video, “portraying that she has been ‘mentally, emotionally and now physically tortured’. In doing so, she wilfully distorted the order of the court”. The plea sought an order for a show-cause notice against her.
