CONTROVERSY OVER MOVE TO GIVE BOMBAY UNIVERSITY CAMPUS PLOT ON RENT FOR SHOOTING | 9 December, 2021

The Bombay University’s decision to give a five-acre plot of land on its Kalina campus for shooting a web series for six months has met with opposition from some quarters in the University. Those against the move say that it would disturb the biodiversity on the campus and claim that the decision is arbitrary. However, a University official clarified that the permission for shooting was granted after approval of the management council.

The land next to Ambedkar Bhavan has been given on rent for Rs. 2 lakh per acre per month to a production house.
