The plans of a statue of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol from Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which was to have been erected in London, have been put on hold due to the pandemic. The statue was to be unveiled next year and it would’ve been the first with a Bollywood theme. It may be mentioned here that a section of the Indian community had been protesting against the statue over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Reportedly, over 6,000 persons of Indian origin had signed two petitions, saying that Bollywood had failed to speak up for justice for SSR.
