DELHI CINEMA REOPENING PUT OFF TILL 31ST OCTOBER | 3 October, 2020

Cinemas in Delhi will not reopen on 15th October despite the Centre’s directive to that effect. The Central government, as part of Unlock 5.0, has permitted cinemas in the country to reopen but with 50% occupancy. However, Anil Baijal, the lieutenant governor of Delhi, said on 1st October that cinemas and schools will remain shut till 31st October in view of the COVId-19 situation in the Union territory. The Department of Delhi Disaster Management Authority has made it clear that the ongoing restrictions, which include cinema closure, will remain in force till October 31.
