Delhi-based lawyer Vibhor Anand, who had been arrested for his controversial online posts about Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, will continue to languish in jail despite being granted bail earlier this week. This is because the sessions court has extended the stay on the order.
The prosecution had sought the stay as it wanted time to appeal against the bail order before the Bombay high court. The court extended the stay till 9th November.
Anand had told the court in his bail plea that after watching news channels, particularly R Bharat and its anchor, he had been made to believe that certain persons had committed the murders of Sushant and Disha Salian. That was the reason for his controversial online posts, he added.
