The Delhi police have summoned actress Rhea Chakraborty in connection with the HIBOX app scam, in which more than 30,000 people were defrauded with promises of exorbitant daily returns. The scam is estimated to be of Rs. 500 crore. TV personalities Bharti Singh and her husband have also been summoned for interrogation.
“Rhea was also promoting the app so that’s why we have asked her to join the probe,” the police officer said. The police have also issued notices to YouTubers and social media influencers, asking them to join the investigation.
