Dish TV India’s board of directors on 13th October turned down a requisition by Yes Bank for an extraordinary general meeting, on the ground that laws do not allow it. Yes Bank holds 25.6% in Dish TV. It had sought appointment of new independent directors and removal of five directors including managing director Jawahar Lal Goel.
According to Dish TV, Yes Bank needed permission from SEBI and the I & B ministry before placing its resolutions before the shareholders.
