Even as Nitesh Rane insisted that he had evidence to prove that Disha Salian had been murdered and had not committed suicide, her parents wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind that they would be forced to end their lives if Union minister Narayan Rane and his MLA-son, Nitesh Rane, did not stop spreading fake news about the circumstances of their daughter’s death and defaming the family. The parents of Disha Salian, who had briefly worked as the manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, demanded that defamatory content about Disha be expunged from all media. The letter urged the President to stop the harassment by Narayan Rane and Nitesh Rane.
A criminal case has already been registered by the Bombay police against the two Ranes for allegedly defamatory remarks and spreading false information about Disha’s death.
