EROS NOW WITHDRAWS NAVRATRI POSTS | 23 October, 2020

OTT platform Eros Now yesterday (22nd October) issued an apology on Twitter for offending people’s sentiments after it landed in a social media controversy for what many described as a distasteful Navratri promotional campaign. Posting pictures of stars from films produced by Eros, the various tweets by Eros yesterday wished people on the occasion of Navratri but there were sexual innuendos in the wishes. Eros Now was trolled on Twitter, prompting the OTT platform to delete its tweets and apologise to the world of Twitter for the tweets.

The apology said: “We at Eros love and respect our cultures equally. It is not, and it has never been our intention to hurt anyone’s emotions. We have deleted the concerned posts and we apologise for having offended anybody’s sentiments. Team Eros Now.”
