A farmer from Tembhurni lodged an FIR with the Yavat police station against actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation. The complaint says that Manjrekar slapped the farmer during an altercation after their cars were involved in a minor accident near Yavat power house on the night of January 15.
Mahesh denied slapping the farmer. He clarified that the farmer, Kailash Satpute, was driving at a high speed because of which the two cars dashed against each other. After that, according to Mahesh, Satpute argued with him while he got down to inspect the damage to the vehicle. The actor-filmmaker was going for a shooting at Chouphula near Bhigwan from Pune. At a point, Manjrekar’s car slowed down. The car of the farmer, which was following his car, rammed into Mahesh’s car. An argument ensued. On his part, Kailash Satpute alleged that Manjrekar’s car stopped suddenly and hence the accident took place. He added that Mahesh started to argue with him and also slapped him.
