FILM EDITOR ASHOK BANDEKAR NO MORE | 20 October, 2020

Film editor Ashok Bandekar passed away on 16th October in Bombay. He had edited films of makers like Dev Anand, Jagmohan Mundhra, Bhisham Kohli and Raju Parsekar. Among the films he edited were Kamla, Vishkanya, Mr. Prime Minister, Censor and Tropical Heat.

Ashok started his career as an assistant editor with Raj Kapoor’s Sapno Ka Saudagar. He edited around ten films of Dev Anand’s Navketan Films. He was an extremely hard-working and sincere editor. Honest to the core and a religious and spiritual person, Ashok Bandekar impressed people with his work rather than with empty promises or tall claims.
