Writer-director Alankrita Shrivastava will make a film on South-Asian social media star Qandeel Baloch. Producers Vikas Sharma and Sunny Khanna and Alankrita have acquired the rights to Aleph’s book, The Sensational Life And Death Of Qandeel Baloch. For the uninitiated, Qandeel Baloch was murdered in Pakistan in 2016. She was a poor girl from a small village in Pakistan, who worked her way up to becoming famous. She was just 26 years old when she was killed.
