In a noteworthy departure from the norm since time immemorial, Warner Bros. has planned a premiere of the Hindi dubbed version of its forthcoming film, Jurassic World: Rebirth, that too in the heartland of the country — Jaipur! The cinema chosen is none other than the prestigious Raj Mandir in the pink city. The date of the historic premiere is 3rd July. Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Rebirth is being distributed in India by Warner Bros. on behalf of the producers (Universal Pictures).
Thirty-one years ago, in 1994, Jurassic Park set a trend by being the first Hollywood franchise film to be dubbed in Hindi. The dubbed version was such a blockbuster success that it opened new horizons for as much the Indian audience as for Hollywood studios. And so, there could be no better film than Jurassic World: Rebirth to once again write history as the first ever Hollywood film to have its grand premiere exclusively in Hindi. According to Warner Bros., the distributors of the new Jurassic film in India, “This is to honour our Hindi-speaking audience who have been the backbone of this franchise’s success in India. This isn’t just a premiere, it’s a profound commitment to our audience in India and a heartfelt nod to the rich cinematic heritage of the heartland, where Hindi films have always thrived. By choosing the revered halls of Raj Mandir, the crown jewel of single-screen cinemas, and synonymous with legendary Hindi film screenings, we aim to honour this heritage and truly connect with our passionate fans of the Hindi dubbed version.”
The premiere at the majestic single-screen cinema of Jaipur will see over 1,000 attendees including dignitaries, celebrities, digital creators, fans and the media. Guests will step into an immersive dinosaur-era world, complete with themed installations and interactive photo zones. Of course, the decor of the landmark cinema will remain intact. To celebrate the legacy of the 1994 classic’s Hindi dubbed version, the event will also focus the spotlight on dubbing director Ashim Samanta who has been overseeing the dubbing of films in this franchise, including the Hindi adaptation of Jurassic World: Rebirth, bringing nostalgic authenticity and timeless continuity to a new generation of fans.
