FOUR KENYAN OFFICERS OF MILITIA BOOKED IN MISSING INDIANS CASE | 25 October, 2022

Four Kenyan officers from a unit linked to extrajudicial killings were charged on October 24 over the disappearance of three men including Balaji Telefilms’ ex-COO Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and his friend, Zaid Sami Kidwai. The bodies of the three persons who were murdered in Kenya have not yet been found.

The arrested officers were part of the Special Service Unit (SSU) which was shut down last week by President William Ruto over accusations of involvement in a spate of abuses, abductions and violent murders.

According to the chargesheet, the accused were suspected of dumping the three men (including Zulfiqar and Zaid’s local driver)in the Aberdares, a densely forested national park about 93 miles from Nairobi.
