‘FROM CHINA WITH LOVE’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 14 March, 2025

Aniket Wagh Creations’ From China With Love (Marathi; A) is about online scams.

Abhimanyu (Aniket Bajrang Wagh) gets a call for a loan which can be got by using a Chinese app. His life goes for a toss when he applies for a loan. Is he able to come out of the mess he lands in because of his loan application?

Aniket Bajrang Wagh has written a story which is kiddish. His screenplay is dull — and that’s putting it mildly. The drama, therefore, fails to impress although it is fairly fast-moving. Aniket Bajrang Wagh’s dialogues are so-so.

Aniket Bajrang Wagh does a fair job as Abhimanyu. Gayatri Bansode is okay as Jayashree. Sonali Bhange is average as Neha. Ankush Mandekar lends ordinary support in the role of Dharmaji Shete. Siddheshwar Zadbuke is okay as Mama. Harshal Kulkarni is passable as Harshal. Vishal Kulthe is alright as Daji. Sharad Jadhav (as PSI Kulthe), Nilesh Holay (as Nilesh) and Prasad Khedkar (as Prasad) pass muster. Others lend routine support.

Aniket Bajrang Wagh’s direction is weak. Prashant Phasge’s music and background music are just about passable. Vishal Kamble’s lyrics are functional. Pravin Sonavane’s camerawork is decent. Sarthak Ner’s art direction is nothing to shout about. Sagar Vishwanath Shinde’s editing is loose.

On the whole, From China With Love will not get the love of the public.

Released on 14-3-’25 at Gem (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru A.P. Communications. Publicity & opening: poor.
