Music director Vipin Reshammiya, father of music director, singer, producer and actor Himesh Reshammiya, breathed his last on 18th September in Bombay around 8.30 p.m. after being admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for breathing problems and other age-related issues. He had been unwell for some time. He was 87.
Although he was a music composer, he gave up his career to train and hone the skills of son Himesh and help him make his career in the film industry as a music director. This was revealed by Vipin Reshammiya in an interview. He had scored the music for Insaf Ka Suraj, directed by Sudhakar Sharma. Vipinbhai had also produced films and TV serials. Insaaf Ki Jung and Shaktishali were the two films which were produced by him. He had also composed the music in the two films.
Vipinbhai’s last rites will be performed at his residence today at 11 a.m. and he will be cremated thereafter, at 11.30 a.m. at the Oshiwara crematorium, S.V. Road, Jogeshwari West, Bombay (near the Oshiwara bridge).
