Veteran Bombay distributor-exhibitor Inder Raj Kapoor passed away today (25th June) around 12.45 p.m. in Bombay following heart attack. He had been suffering from a prolonged illness. His condition deteriorated during the COVID-19 pandemic, due to acute diabetes. One by one, both his legs had to be amputated. He was 74 years old. His cremation took place at the Chandanwadi cemetery at 5.30 p.m.
Kapoor’s distribution concern, IRK Films, had released a number of films in the 1980s and 1990s mainly.
Inder Raj Kapoor was single. He used to wear white shirt and white trousers except on Saturdays when he used to wear a T-shirt with black trousers.
