The Khar (Bombay) police on 23rd November filed an FIR against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community through her social media post. She was booked under IPC section 295-A for deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs, on a complaint by Amarjit Singh Sandhu on behalf of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.
The actress had in a social media post referred to the Sikh community people as Khalistani terrorists.
