DB Breeze, the building opposite Khar Gymkhana at Khar in Bombay, in which Kangana Ranaut has a flat, has been under the BMC scanner since 2018 for unauthorised construction and building violations. Reportedly, the plot on which the building is constructed was once reserved for a municipal maternity hospital. Kangana’s fifth floor flat alongwith all the other 15 flats in the building were issued notices in 2018 by the H-West ward. It is believed that every flat owner had carried out illegal alterations in his/her flat.
After the BMC’s notices, the housing society succeeded in obtaining an order from the city civil court to maintain status quo. The BMC moved the Dindoshi (Bombay) court on 7th September to vacate the stay. The Dindoshi court will hear the matter on 25th September.
