‘KATA KIRRR’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 15 October, 2022

Shivam Creations and Ujwal Films’ Kata Kirrr (Marathi; UA) is a love story against the backdrop of class differences.

Satish Deokar’s story is commonplace and an oft-repeated one. The screenplay, too, offers no novelty whatsoever. Dialogues are routine.

Satish Deokar is no hero material. His acting is so-so for a debut film. Sneha Kudwalkar makes an average debut. Kamlesh Sawant is nice. Suresh Vishwakarma lends good support. Others are adequate.

Jeetendra Waiker’s direction is below average. Sajan-Vishal’s music is not up to the mark. Rohan Kandera’s choreography is unimpressive. Background music (by Vijay Gavand) is hardly effective. Mayuresh Joshi’s camerawork is commonplace. Shrikant Pote’s art direction deserves no special mention. Yash Surve’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Kata Kirrr is a flop show.

Released on 15-10-’22 at City Light (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru A.P. Communications. Publicity & opening: poor.
