MAHARASHTRA CYBER SUMMONS U.K. BUSINESSMAN | 20 March, 2021

The Maharashtra Cyber has summoned a UK businessman to record his statement in connection with an FIR of obscenity against OTT platforms, portals and actors last year. The businessman’s name cropped up while recording the statement of actress Sherlyn Chopra earlier this week. Sherlyn was granted bail by the Bombay high court in the case.

According to Sherlyn Chopra, she entered into an agreement with the businessman’s company in 2019, under which she was to generate video content for an app launched that year. She explained that a woman, who was the company’s content head, encouraged her to think out of the box and push her limits to be more sensuous and appealing in terms of nudity. Sherlyn concluded that the woman and she often got into arguments over the type of content, and the content head did not give her the chance to review the final cut.
