MALAIKA ARORA WARNED OF NON-BAILABLE WARRANT IN 2012 SAIF CASE | 1 May, 2025

A magistrate court in Bombay granted a final chance to actress-model Malaika Arora to appear in the case against actor Saif Ali Khan. Observing that she was attempting to avoid attending the hearing intentionally, the court asked her to appear as a witness in the 2012 assault case against Saif, on the next date. The court added that her failure to remain present in the court would prompt the issuance of a non-bailable warrant against her. The matter will be heard on July 9.

The court had re-issued a bailable warrant of Rs. 5,000 against Malaika on April 8.

The case against Saif was registered at the Colaba police station in Bombay in February 2012. According to the police, a man from South Africa, Iqbal Sharma, protested against the raucous chatter of Saif Ali Khan and his friends, including Malaika, her sister, Amrita Arora Ladak, her brother-in-law, Shakeel Ladak, Bilal Amrohi, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and costume designer Vikram Phadnis at a five-star hotel at Colaba. This led to Saif allegedly threatening him (Iqbal Sharma) and his father-in-law, Ramanbhai Patel. The police added that Saif also punched Iqbal Sharma on the nose, fracturing it.
