‘MARATHI PAUL PADTE PUDHE’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 5 May, 2023

Shivline Income Growth Pvt. Ltd.’s Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe (Marathi; UA) is the story of a farmer’s son trying to make it big in the world of business while battling competition on home turf from people belonging to other states.

Swapnil Mayekar has written a story and screenplay, which are as routine as routine can be. The drama is quite dull and lacklustre. At times, it looks like a propaganda film about Maharashtrians in Maharashtra state. Mayekar’s dialogues are quite nice.

Chirag Patil is ordinary. Siddhi Patne does an average job. Anant Jog leaves a fine mark. Satish Salagare is so-so. Satish Pulekar has his moments. Sanjay Kulkarni lends fair support.

Swapnil Mayekar’s direction is ordinary. Sameer Khole’s music and background score are routine. Lyrics (Reshma Karkhanis, Krupesh Patil, Praveen Mali and Kiran Patil) are functional. Chetna Singh’s choreography is nothing to shout about. Nandlal Choudhari’s cinematography is fair. Atul Kadam’s art direction is okay. Editing (Rahul Bhatankar and Kailash Pawar) leaves something to be desired.

On the whole, Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe is too ordinary to create ripples at the box-office.

Released on 5-5-’23 at Glamour (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Pickle Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor.
