‘MASTER’ (DUBBED): B4U, GRAND MASTER TO COLLABORATE WITH UFO FOR NORTH INDIA | 6 January, 2021

The excitement for Vijay’s Master (Tamil) is growing by the minute. The advance booking for the film opened in Madras and other centres of Tamil Nadu yesterday (January 5) to such a tremendous response that plans are filling at supersonic speed. The happy news is that cinemas in Tamil Nadu have been permitted to function at cent per cent capacity, the benefit of which will be reaped by Master and all the films releasing after it.

If the craze for the original Tamil version is huge, it is not any less for the dubbed Telugu and Hindi versions. While the original Tamil and dubbed Telugu versions are slated for release on January 13, the Hindi dubbed version will hit the screens a day later. In fact, exhibitors in the Hindi belt are waiting for Master (dubbed) with bated breath as they expect it to revive the trade which has been literally tottering ever since cinemas reopened in October/November 2020. The advance booking for the Hindi dubbed version will open shortly.

Looking to the immense anticipation for the film, UFO has tied up with B4U and Grand Master, the two companies which hold the distribution rights of the films. In North India (Delhi-U.P., East Punjab, C.I. and Rajasthan), UFO will release the film for B4U and Grand Master. If inside reports are to be believed, this association between UFO, B4U and Grand Master might continue for the future films of B4U and Grand Master too.

Master stars Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das and Andrea Jeremiah. It is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj for producers Xavier Britto (uncle of Vijay) and Lalit Kumar of 7 Screen Studios. A noteworthy point about the film’s promotion is very little content has been made available to the public in the form of teaser/trailer/songs. Clearly, less is more for the makers of the eagerly awaited film!
