Marathi film actor Mayuresh Kotkar, arrested by the Thane police on 13th June for posting allegedly defamatory content on social media against cabinet minister Eknath Shinde, was granted bail by the Thane court on 16th June. He had been sent to judicial custody after his arrest on 13th.
Mayuresh moved a bail application in the Thane court. Arguments were heard on 15th but the hearing was adjourned to 16th. The judge granted Mayuresh Kotkar bail on 16th on a surety of Rs. 15,000.
