‘MUSANDI’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 9 June, 2023

Sonai Film Creation’s Musandi (Marathi; UA) is the story of a selfless youngster and his quest to ensure that talent doesn’t go waste. It sheds light on the issues facing aspirants and candidates for MPSC and UPSC examinations.

Govardhan Doltade’s story and screenplay are dull and drab. The drama does not hold the audience’s interest even one bit. His dialogues are commonplace.

Rohan Patil does an average job. Gayatri Jadhav is fair. Suresh Vishwakarma leaves a mark. Shubhangi Latkar is quite nice. Tanaji Galgunde, Pranav Raorane, Shivaji Doltade, Arbaz Shaikh, Ghanshyam Darode and the others lend routine support.

Shivaji Doltade’s direction is weak. Sachin Awaghade’s music is functional. Lyrics (by Govardhan Doltade and Deepak Gaikwad) pass muster. Height Manju and Rohan Kandera’s song picturisations are barely passable. Abhinay Jagtap’s background music is below the mark. M.B. Allikatti’s camerawork is so-so. Mahesh Kore’s art direction is ordinary. Amit Jawalkar’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.

On the whole, Musandi is a flop fare.
