The Centre has told the Bombay high court that it has not received any response from Pakistan to its request for details of the whereabouts of the two minor children of producer Mushtaq Nadiadwala, son of veteran producer Gaffarbhai Nadiadwala. A bench led by Justice Sunil Shukre on March 21 was given a report by the ministry of external affairs on the producer’s habeas corpus petition that his children were detained by his Pakistani wife in Lahore.
The MEA’s report said that the Centre, through the Indian high commission in Islamabad, will continue to follow up the matter with Pakistan’s ministry of foreign affairs.
