‘NAFRATEIN’ REVIEW | 27 June, 2025

Fine Pictures’ Nafratein (UA) is the story of a young man and his quest to win his love over.

Karan (Aryan Kumar Goel) loves his college friend, Ishika (Tanishq Ranjan). But the obstacles in his path are too many.

Piyush Singh has written a story which does not even pretend to offer anything new or fresh. The screenplay, penned by Piyush Singh and Joy Bhattacharjee, is hackneyed and predictable. Resultantly, the viewers hardly get involved in the drama but watch it without feeling for the characters. Climax is a letdown. Piyush Singh’s dialogues, with additional dialogues by Joy Bhattacharjee, are dull.

Aryan Kumar Goel has a nice physique and does an average job as Karan. Tanishq Ranjan is so-so as Ishika. Chandraprakash Thakur lends routine support. Mukesh Moti Rishi is ordinary. Aditya Katariya is passable. Others just about fit the bill.

Joy Bhattacharjee’s direction is weak. Sanjeev Chaturvedi and Santosh Singh Dhaliwal’s music is fair. A couple of songs are melodious but none is popular. Lyrics (Sanjeev Chaturvedi) are functional. Bosco Caesar’s song picturisations are nothing to dance about. Chandra Shekar and Revan Aarti Singh’s background music is not as impactful as it should’ve been. Prashant Verma’s camerawork is alright. Dilip Kumar Yadav’s action and stunt scenes afford some thrill. Sanjay R. Das’ editing is loose.

On the whole, Nafratein will not get the love of the public.

Released on 27-6-’25 at Cinepolis Andheri (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: dull. …….Also released all over. Opening was poor everywhere.
