The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on 12th September carried out raids in Bombay and Goa and arrested seven persons involved in the drugs trade. The seven included a hotelier of Powai in Bombay, and a builder’s son. Karam Jeet Singh Anand alias KJ, who was allegedly supplying drugs to Bollywood stars and celebrities, was also arrested. Ganja, charas and Rs. 6.5 lakh were seized from those arrested.
The NCB has been actively pursuing the drugs case in Bombay ever since the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by the CBI led the agency to the findings that the actor used to consume drugs. In fact, Sushant’s girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother, Showik, were arrested by the NCB alongwith several others a few days back.
