New Union Information & Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur took charge of the ministry yesterday (8th July) and was joined by his deputy, L. Murugan, who is the Tamil Nadu BJP chief and who was appointed junior minister in the I & B ministry. Thakur held a brief meeting with senior officials from the ministry, including I & B secretary Amit Khare and Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati.
The I & B minister said, it would be his endeavour to work with all the media heads as a team.
