Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, was today (4th October) remanded to the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau till October 7 in the drugs case in which he was arrested yesterday (3rd October). He was arrested along with seven others when the NCB raided the cruise liner on which they were travelling from Bombay to Goa on the evening of 2nd October as they had information that there would be a rave party on board the liner. A court had yesterday remanded Aryan and two others to the NCB custody for a day. The three were presented in court today.
The NCB today asked the court for Aryan’s custody till October 11. Satish Maneshinde, counsel for Aryan, told the court that no incriminating material was found in Aryan’s possession and he could not be arrested simply because drugs were found in possession of the co-accused who were with him. Maneshinde also said that further custody of Aryan was not required as the NCB had two days to go through his cell phone. The NCB informed the court that there was material in the form of WhatsApp chats between three arrested — Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha — allegedly showing nexus with peddlers and suppliers on regular basis. The three have been booked under the NDPS Act for possession, consumption and sale of illegal substances.
The court remanded Aryan to the NCB’s custody till October 7.
