Within hours of announcing that restrictions would be lifted in 18 of the 36 districts of Maharashtra, the chief minister’s office just now clarified that the announcement by the state’s relief and rehabilitation minister of unlocking from June 4 has been nullified. This means, cinemas and malls will not reopen from tomorrow. Shootings of films, TV serials and web series will also not be permitted.
