A Calcutta court has held that the marriage of actress-MP Nusrat Jahan and Nikhil Jain in Turkey on June 19, 2019 was legally invalid and hence null and void. Nusrat had said earlier that the marriage was invalid in India. She had accused Nikhil of mishandling her funds and illegally holding her properties back. The two separated in November last year.
Nikhil had filed for an annulment of the marriage in a Calcutta court.
