Kannada film actor Chetan Kumar has been granted “conditional interim protection” through a Karnataka high court order which restrains the Centre from any “precipitate” step in cancelling his Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card till the next hearing on June 2.
Chetan, a US citizen, was briefly arrested last month over a tweet about Hinduism being “built on lies”. His OCI card was revoked on March 28 for alleged “anti-India activities”.
