PARESH RAWAL CALLS ON UTTARAKHAND CM | 14 October, 2024

Actor and former BJP MP Paresh Rawal called on Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his camp office in Dehradun today (14th October). He was accompanied by actor-writer-director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.
Paresh Rawal is currently shooting for Pastt Tense, being directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, in Dehradun, Rishikesh and Mussoorie.
During his meeting with the CM, Rawal shared that he had been shooting for the film in Uttarakhand since 42 days. He said that the state was shooting-friendly and production units shooting in the state got support from the public as well as the government departments. The actor added that he was shooting for another film too in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami observed that there were many picturesque destinations for shooting films in Uttarakhand. He reminded that the Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024 had been instituted. Under the policy, a grant of 30 per cent of the total amount spent in the state or a maximum of Rs. 3 crore is given to films made in Hindi and other languages included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. The same amount is also given to foreign films and films with a budget of more than Rs. 50 crore. The cap for films made in any of the regional languages of the state is Rs. 2 crore.
Permission for shooting films in Uttarakhand state is provided through a single-window system.
Film producers Anup Poddar, Aishwarya Meshram, Shivam Yadav and his PR professional wife, Kartikee Yadav, actor Satish Sharma, journalist Dr. Anjali Nauriyal, joint director of information and joint CEO of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, were also present in the meeting.
