Producer Parvesh C. Mehra passed away yesterday (18th December) in Bombay following almost a month-long battle with COVID-19. He was in the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital for three weeks before the end came yesterday around 4 p.m. He was 71 years old and is survived by his son and daughter and their families as also his elder sister and three younger brothers, Umesh, Rajesh and Rajiv.
The eldest son of late producer F.C. Mehra, Parvesh got into the business of film production at a young age to assist his father. The Mehras also owned the landmark Minerva Cinema in Bombay for many years. Among the films produced by Parvesh C. Mehra were Qila, Ram-Jaane, Chamatkar, Jaal, Pyar Ke Do Pal, Sohni Mahiwal, Ek Jaan Hain Hum, Ashanti, Mujrim and Shikari: The Hunter.
