The Bombay crime branch recently busted a prostitution racket and arrested a pimp, Manisha, who claimed to be a big-time supplier of girls from the film and television industry. The police rescued three girls from the pimp and sent them for rehabilitation. Manisha was arrested under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act and was handed over to the Vanrai police for investigation.
A dummy customer called Manisha, asking for girls for some guests who were coming to Bombay. Manisha demanded Rs. 10.5 lakh for sending three girls from the film industry to a five-star hotel. Manisha was arrested when she accepted the money. She had promised to send a TV actress but could not.
