Veteran filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar breathed his last this morning (24th March) at a hospital in Bombay. He was 68 and is survived by his wife and two children. He had been on dialysis and his potassium levels dropped following which he was rushed to hospital at 3 a.m. He breathed his last half an hour later.
He will be cremated at 4 p.m. today at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium, Shastri Nagar, Santacruz West, Bombay.
Pradeep Sarkar had directed Parineeta, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Mardaani, Lafangey Parindey and Helicopter Eela. He had also made some web series for Alt Balaji and Zee5. Pradeep Sarkar was also a prolific ad filmmaker.
