Producer-director Harish Shah breathed his last today (7th July) at 6 a.m. at his residence. He was 76 and had been suffering from cancer. His short film on cancer — Why Me? — had won the President’s Award.
Harish Shah had produced films like Kaala Sona, Dhan Daulat (also directed by him), Mere Jeevan Saathi, Zalzala (directed by him), Jaal – The Trap, Hotel, Ram Tere Kitne Nam, Ab Insaf Hoga (directed by him) and Dil Aur Mohabbat. He had worked with several of the big stars back then. Harish Shah had an amiable disposition and was friendly by nature. According to his producer-brother Vinod Shah, he will be cremated today at 1 p.m. at the Pawan Hans crematorium.
